C. Michael Hawn has been a professor of sacred music at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, since 1992. He received degrees form Wheaton College (IL) and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before coming to SMU, he taught church music for fifteen years at two Southern Baptist seminaries and served four Baptist churches as minister of music.
